One of the most exciting and electrifying times in the year of sports is almost upon us, the NHL playoffs. And while most teams have already punched their tickets, some of them are still looking to lock in their seed or get an even better one. The Edmonton Oilers are one of those teams.

With only two games left in the Oilers’ season they are currently two points behind the Anaheim Ducks, for the one seed in the Pacific Division, who have only one game left in their season. And honestly, there are not many teams I would rather play in the Oilers’ position, who are taking a nice little trip to Vancouver. I mean with a stinky 18-16-6 record at home this season the Canucks are not making me sweat, and the way the Oilers’ have been playing has me feeling great. Especially with a 21-14-5 away record, and coming off a big win in the Shark Tank two nights ago.

These two teams have already faced each other three times this season, with the series currently in favor of the Oilers 2-1. In these meetings the Oilers defeated the Nucks both at home and in Vancouver 2-0, while the one loss comes in a shootout in Edmonton ending 3-2. Nevertheless, we fucking LOVE the Oilers tonight.

Edmonton is out for blood and a number one seed. They aren’t gonna let these bums in Vancouver ruin their night. Winning 10 out of their past 12 they are on a fucking tear, winning 7 out of those 10 games by 2 goals or more. The Oiler’s are also 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games against Vancouver, and 7-1 in their last 8 ATS on the road. These are exactly the stats you love to see in a time like this and stats like this don’t come up too often in hockey. I know the Canucks aren’t just going to roll over, and most likely want to play spoiler to night, but you know what? Fuck them. They ain’t got shit on this Oilers team. These teams also play each other in back to back nights, so if you think Edmonton is going to end their hopes of a 1 seed in this game, you better open your fucking eyes and witness the SALAMI they are going to lay down on the Canucks in the city of Vancouver. And that’s why our pick tonight is…..

Oilers -1.5 @ +140. Make sure you stretch out your wallets for this one kids.
